In the evening I decided to explore Old Nice. I came across as classic staircase from the street to the lower level of Vieux Nice. The narrow maze of walkways were in shade, so it was much cooler, and there were an endless array of restaurants and bars along with some good looking stores.

The next morning I went to see the flower market in the Cours Saleya, but it was unpacking very slowly and there was not that much to see in terms of flowers. But the classic old architecture along the beach is beautiful. It dates back to the dates of the Grand European Tours of wealth tourists blending a feel of the 17th Century Italian style with the French resourt. Beautiful colour tones.

Le Gallerie delle Ponchettes (Les Ponchettes), sit on the edoge of the Old Town and the sea. The distinctive architecture was built in the 19th century. Designed with high vaulted ground floors that were originally used by local fishermen to store their nets, they are today a beautiful example of local vernacular architecture, now housing galleries and seaside eateries.
